Good luck Jorja!!! :)
Justice and Care is a charity fighting to end modern slavery. Modern slavery is everywhere, it’s brutal and its big business. We are driven to save lives, prosecute exploiters and make systemic change. It’s estimated that there are 50 million victims of human trafficking globally. 100,000 in the UK. 1 in 4 of those victims are children. Victims of sexual exploitation, labour exploitation, domestic servitude, forced marriage and organ harvesting exist in the UK. Victim Navigator’s (VN’s) work on the frontlines, helping victims walk free from modern slavery in the UK. One way VN’s do this is by meeting victims in places where exploitation happens, like brothels. Working alongside police forces who’ve gathered intel and have concerns, VN’s safeguard victims, equip them with knowledge and help them see a way out. But the truth is: it’s not that easy. Exploiters use threat, violence, coercion and debt bondage to keep them under tight control. VN’s build trust with victims and help them understand that there are safe routes to leave exploitation in a way that works for them. The reality is that there is a cycle of modern slavery: victims are at high risk of becoming re-exploited. In combat of this, VN’s help victims access stable housing, work, education, health facilities which provides us all with support and community. VN’s enjoy watching integration be instrumental in sustained safety. VN’s help victims provide evidence to the police and stand up at court. Many victims identify evidence giving as a key aspect of their recovery but find the judicial process confusing. VN’s are there to help it make sense to them. I would be grateful for any amount of money that you’re willing to give to Justice & Care. Your contribution could go towards building the Victim Navigator Programme and allowing more survivors to receive both the justice and the care that they need.
