We are joining 39 other families and friends to create a team of 40 raising awareness of the estimated 40 million people around the world trapped in modern day slavery. We will be completing as many exercise miles as we can for the month of May. We will also be raising funds to support justice and care in their mission at home and abroad.

Story

Going the miles in May to break the grip of modern slavery. Slavery is abhorrent- using people as commodities. The latest estimates put the number of global victims at 40 million. Research, based on police data, suggests more than 100,000 victims in the UK alone. We are one of 40 households committing  to cover as many exercise miles (running/canoeing/paddle boarding /biking) as possible during the month of May . 1 household for every million estimated modern-day slavery victims. Help us break the grip of slavery!

  • £15 could pay for a simple hygiene pack for someone who has just been rescued from slavery in the UK
  • £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
  • £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
