Hi everyone, I'm cycling RideLondon this year, on behalf of my company Sam Allen Associates. I'm fundraising for one of our chosen charities, Justice for Care, who are working to combat modern slavery. I haven't done RideLondon before, and while I enjoy the odd cycle, this will definitely see me stepping up my game. Anything you can put towards helping me reach my target would be really great!! Thank you! -- It is estimated that more than 40 million people worldwide are in slavery; there are 136,000 in the UK alone, who have either been trafficked into the country from abroad, or from one area of the UK to another. There are British victims trafficked abroad, as well as countless other people sold into slavery in numerous nations worldwide.
- £15 could pay for a simple hygiene pack for someone who has just been rescued from slavery in the UK
- £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
- £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
