Story
We both recognized the injustice in slavery and wanted to bring about change in this system. In the UK alone there are estimated to be over 100,000 victims silently hidden in places like nail bars, restaurants and brothels. This shocking statistic motivated us to raise awareness for this cause and run a half marathon for the freedom of the girls. These girls are teenagers just like us and we realised the difference we can make in fighting on their behalf.
- £15 could pay for a simple hygiene pack for someone who has just been rescued from slavery in the UK
- £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
- £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
