This May I have cycled 500 miles whatever the weather to highlight the 40 million individuals currently under the yoke of slavery across this planet.

Story

Going the miles in May to break the grip of modern slavery. Slavery is abhorrent – the latest estimates put the number of global victims at 40 million and our own research, based on police data, suggests more than 100,000 victims in the UK alone.

Over 40 households are committed in the month of May to cover as many miles (running/swimming/biking /paddleboarding/ canoeing/skate boarding/ scooting etc) as possible during the month of May . One household for every million estimated modern-day slavery victims. Help us break the grip of slavery!

Justice & Care work with the police to rescue victims of slavery, bring criminal networks to justice and spark systemic change.

They restore lives, secure communities at risk from traffickers and bring together world class specialists to tackle the issue.
Donate
  • £15 could pay for a simple hygiene pack for someone who has just been rescued from slavery in the UK
  • £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
  • £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
