I am doing coffee and cake, coffee and Punjab nibbles, to support the temple spa campaign through may, to raise more awareness of this amazing charity.

Story

After hearing from Julia Strachen in March of this year, I was shocked by the statistics of modern day slavery right now. And then on hearing how many are affected in the UK, 100000, and how little people actually know, I feel moved to help raise more money and awareness for what is trying to be done. Temple Spa are supporting them through the month of May, so I wanted to do something extra aswell. Freedom should not be something you have to fight for in our society, it should be a given. So let’s all help to free those caught up in it, and put those who are guilty of it behind bars. Every £1 raised will help more people get the support and courage to break free and to give evidence to put the perpetrators away for good. 
I’ll be doing lots of little things all through may, including a coffee and nibbles morning with my friend Purdy. All donations through here will go straight to Justice & care. Thank you. Lou x

  • £15 could pay for a simple hygiene pack for someone who has just been rescued from slavery in the UK
  • £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
  • £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
