Story
We're clocking up the miles in May to raise awareness of modern slavery and support those affected by it. Slavery is abhorrent – the latest estimates put the number of global victims at 40 million and Justice & Care reckon, based on police data, there's more than 100,000 victims in the UK alone. We are one of 40 households to commit to cover as many miles as possible during the month of May by running, walking, playing football or swimming! 1 household for every million estimated modern-day slavery victims. - £15 could pay for a simple hygiene pack for someone who has just been rescued from slavery in the UK
- £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
- £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
