Story

This is a new challenge for me... I became, like so many, a pandemic runner- but caught the bug and carried on. This year I have been given an opportunity to take on a new challenge by completing six marathons in two weeks (starting with Newport on 13 April, followed by four around Bristol (hopefully with friends and colleagues) over the Easter weekend, culminating in the London marathon on 27 April).

I am hoping that this challenge will raise significant funds for Justice and Care, a fantastic charity looking to make a real difference in the fight against modern slavery. It amazed me to read that almost 50 million people live as slaves in 2025. Justice and Care is a a charity, committed to partnering with others to fight the crime - protecting communities, supporting survivors, pursuing those responsible and creating change at scale.

Donate
  • £15 could pay for a simple hygiene pack for someone who has just been rescued from slavery in the UK
  • £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
  • £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
