Story

It is estimated that more than 40 million people worldwide are in slavery - 136,000 in the UK alone. Victims like 17-year-old Maria* from Romania, who was taken from a friend's house, sold for a few thousand pounds, brought to the UK and then abused by countless men. Maria’s story, unfortunately, is not unusual. But Justice and Care are building a force to win the fight against human trafficking. They bring together experts from different disciplines to tackle human trafficking. They focus on destroying the criminal networks responsible, whilst employing an end to end transnational approach; incorporating prevention work in communities, supporting investigations, providing care to survivors and working with governments to spark systemic change.
Donate

  • £50 could help provide access to therapeutic services, helping a survivor come to terms with their experience
  • £100 can help provide essential training to the police officers, prosecutors and the judiciary to help ensure those responsible for trafficking are brought to justice
